If you are searching for a new companion to join your family, then you're in luck! On the average day, The Happy Little Rescue is home to over fifty adoptable pets. We believe that there is a perfect home out there for each of our temporary residents, and no matter how long it takes we strive to help them find it. Our mission is to ensure that each of the animals in our care live a happy and healthy life while awaiting their forever home.
Journey
Journey is a fun-loving, ball obsessed terrier-mix who’s around 1.5 years old, and the life of the party at our Happy Little Rescue! While he may take some time to warm up to new humans; this quirky, and affectionate little dude quickly turns into a big softy once he gets to know you! Because of this, he would do best in a home without kiddos under 12. Journey is a playful little guy, who loves other dogs of all shapes and sizes and would THRIVE in a home with another confident pup to learn from.

Dolly
Dolly is a gentle giant! This big goofy girl is 2-3 years old and in search of the perfect person/family of her own. She gets along great with other dogs and people, but due to her playful puppy-like personality would do best in a home without small kids!

Beau
Beau is a leggy puppy full of love! He really is the whole package; great with people, kids and dogs! He was adopted as a tiny puppy, but was returned to us for chewing on things he shouldn't have been. However, he is now 11 months old, very motivated, and would be easy to train for someone who can dedicate the time to help guide him through his puppy stage!

Cheya
This super sweet retired Rez-Momma was found underneath a truck with her newborn pups during the heat of summer!
From there, an amazing foster family took on the responsibility of offering Chaya a safe and loving environment to raise her pups. Now that they have all found their forever families, it's time for this sweet girl to find her own happy ending! Despite her rocky start to life, Chaya is filled to the brim with love and gets along with people and dogs of all shapes and sizes! Her playful and affectionate personality would make her a great addition to any home!

Constance
Constance is a 2 year old Rotty-Mix who came to us after she was found outside a vet clinic in Utah, chained to a tiny crate filled with puppies! We don't know how Constance ended up there, but it is clear that she's unable to contain her love for people. She's a super social girl who is bursting at the seams with love for humans! She's food motivated, loves to learn and, understands basic commands, including shake! This young Rottweiler is sure to be the life of the party, and is searching for an active person or family to call her own!

At just over 1 year old, Sitka is an energetic pup that is full of love! He does well with all other dogs and would love a family that is active. He would make the ultimate adventure buddy whether that be hiking, snowshoeing or even biking with the right training!

Sisco is a 2 year old Lab/Border Collie mix who came to us from a high-kill shelter in Texas. This goofy, fun-loving guy has never met a stranger, and falls in love with everyone he meets. He's still learning to understand his size and at times has a difficult time controlling his love for life. Because of this, he would do best in a home without small kiddos. Sisco will thrive in an active home who is willing to help him continue his basic training and be the very best version of himself!

Maeve
Maeve is the full package, with both beauty and brains! This adorable, big-eared shepherd mix is around 2 years old and full of love to share. She gets along great with people and other dogs of all shapes and sizes and would love to find an active home with kiddos, or another dog to keep her busy! Maeve is an intelligent and adventurous gal, who loves to learn and is quickly starting to understand basic commands!

Ace
Ace has had an amazing transformation since joining our rescue! This 3.5 year old boy was a bit of a mess when he first showed up and would get extremely anxious when left alone. Since then, he has grown more comfortable each day and is ready to find his perfect family! How can you not love that smile? He is a smart boy and sensitive to the energy of those around him, therefore he does best with calm and confident people. He is very friendly with both people and other dogs, and would love an active home that can get him daily exercise. He is unsure of kids so would do best in a home without children.

Rascal
Rascal is a 3-4 year old pit-mix who is the definition of couch hippo. This big-headed, affectionate goofball is filled to the brim with love and is hoping to find a person or family to fill his life with endless cuddles and belly rubs! Rascal does great with other dogs but can be a bit shy around strangers and because of this would prefer a quiet home without many visitors so he can start to overcome his fears!

Maddie
Maddie is a sweet 2 year old lab mix with a lot of energy! She does great on walks and knows all her commands. She loves other dogs and people, but can have the tendency to be a bit mouthy. Because of this, Maddie would do best with an owner who is comfortable offering corrections and continued training in manners.

Sassy
Sassy is a 2 year old Border Collie/Lab Mix!. Her and her brother Sisco were transferred to us from a high-kill shelter in Texas. This affectionate and energetic gal is an ideal adventure dog who loves people and dogs of all shapes and sizes, and would be an excellent match for an active home with another dog or kiddos to keep her happy and worn out.

This short and chunky man is between 3-5 years old and a HUGE lover! Captain is an affectionate and goofy boy with a big head and an even bigger personality to match. He gets along great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, but is still learning to control his love for humans and because of this is in need of a home without small kids who he could knock over!

Meet Fiesty! This medium-sized cutie is around 1 year old and has so much love to share! Despite her spicy name, Fiesty is the perfect loving companion! She gets along great with people and other dogs of all shapes and sizes. She would make a great cuddle buddy for any family!

Mars
Mars is a shy guy that is very affectionate once he warms up. He is currently in foster care with 2 dog siblings and has grown a lot of confidence from watching them! With that being said, Mars would do best in a home with another dog that he can continue to gain confidence from. His ideal person would have to be patient while he continues to come out of his shell. Although he is shy, he loves people and other dogs and has the potential to be the perfect dog!

Templeton
Templeton is wise beyond his years! Although this gentlemen may look a little gray, he's actually only about 3 years old! He has already learned that the better things in life include cuddling on a couch for hours at a time. This couch potato does enjoy walks and mild hikes, but his favorite activity is simply being with people. He is good all people and other dogs.

Dingo
Dingo is a two year old Shepherd Mix! She’s a confident, go with the flow kinda gal, who gets along great with people but is overwhelmed by quick movements and therefore would do best in a home without children. While she’s a social butterfly who loves off-leash playtime with other dogs, Dingo can be reactive to dogs on leash. Because of this, she would love a home with another dog and a big yard where should could play with a friend without the restraint of a leash.

Slick
Slick is a 12 year old cattle dog mix who is in need of a retirement home to live out his golden years! He may technically be a senior citizen but you can hardly tell; this goofy, water-loving, ball-obsessed dude is full of playful energy and will gladly enjoy a game of fetch for hours! Slick is super affectionate and loves to cuddle, but he had a rough start to life and because of this he can take some time to warm up to new people. He gets along great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes but would do best in a quiet home with a big yard and no cats or small kids!

Eeyore
Say hello to Eeyore, the drool sergeant! This big, goofy mastiff mix is around 4 years old. He came to us in May 2023 after he was found by a hiker, wandering alone in the desert, extremely malnourished, covered in sunburn with his paw pads burned to a crisp. Despite his injuries Eeyore has shown nothing but love towards every human he meets. Thanks to the Amazing Veterinary team at Kokapelli Animal Hospital, Eeyore is now the picture of health, and ready to find his happy ending! Eeyore has a huge personality that is sure to fill your life with endless laughter. He’s LOVES people of all shapes and sizes and gets along great with smaller dogs. Despite his extra large size, Eeyore behaves like a lapdog and will happily snuggle up hours! Due to his size and playful energy levels, Eeyore would do best in an active home without small kiddos for him to knock over!

Moose
Moose is a very typical hound. He is dog friendly, people friendly and kid friendly! He has a moderate energy level and would enjoy an occasional walk/hike. He can be a bit vocal when left alone, but is well behaved when he is around his people! He is untested with cats, but we suspect he would do well.
